Why Still Point?

In bodywork and healing traditions, the still point is a quiet, powerful moment when the body shifts out of stress and into balance. “It’s the pause where healing begins, not forced or rushed, but natural and deeply intelligent”.

At Still Point Animal Wellness, this principle is at the heart of what we do.

This reflects the calm, centered space we hold for every pet and their guardian. It honors the body’s innate ability to heal when it feels safe, supported, and regulated. It symbolizes that subtle moment when the body lets go, the nervous system softens, and healing begins.

Whether we’re working through surgical recovery, chronic pain, or emotional trauma, our work is about helping each pet find their own still point the place where change becomes possible.

Testimonials

What people say about Still Point Animal Wellness.

Kasey is truly one of the best teachers with whom I've had the pleasure of working.  Having spent many years in higher education and corporate training environments as an educator, I've known a wide variety of teachers, and there are few who are able to reach their students as effectively as Kasey.  Most teachers I've known professionally have brilliance, but not necessarily the understanding of how to convey that brilliance into practical application for their students.  Kasey's brilliance not only comes from her decades of experience as a veterinary professional, her gift for understanding the animal body, and her passion for learning, but from her rare ability to take that knowledge and passion and distill it for her students into meaningful hands-on learning experiences.  Kasey isn't satisfied until she knows that her students have a solid understanding of the theories and techniques she presents to them, regardless of how much or how little experience they bring to class.  Each student is given thoughtful and supportive guidance and feedback so that they can take away from class the skills and competence required to provide safe and effective bodywork to the animals in their care.  Kasey is, in short, a phenomenal teacher, but, above all, she's a caring and compassionate human being.

NCCMT, NCCAP Canine Massage Therapist / Small Animal Acupressure Practitioner
I have known Kasey since 2021 and have considered myself blessed to have her in my life and the lives of my dogs, Jackson and Missy especially. Jackson was an 11 year old mixed breed that had suffered a serious back injury and subsequent surgery. She was one of a team of therapists that kept him going for 2-3 years longer than we anticipated. Kasey has an incredible breadth and depth of knowledge in canine wellness as well as technical skills in the latest integrative and alternative modalities for hands on bodywork. She helped ensure I understood the best available tools for his comfort and recovery. Kasey also helped with training Missy, giving guidance on keeping her in good health and just generally an incredible resource on all things that come with a traumatized shelter dog. I have recommended Kasey to friends facing challenges with their dogs, from aging and mobility issues to behavioral issues.

Kasey is a skilled and compassionate practitioner and is in integral member of my dogs’ care team. Her expertise is evident during each session as she delivers intentional bodywork techniques to target my dogs’ individual needs. Kasey has effectively reduced pain and discomfort, contributing to an overall higher quality of life for my boys. Despite being senior pups with chronic conditions, they maintain an active lifestyle with Kasey’s support. She is always sure to communicate her observations to me during sessions and provides strategies to maintain their comfort at home. My dogs absolutely love Kasey and can fully relax in her care, which is the most compelling testament of all.

Client/Pet Parent
Kasey has a way with animals, and her passion for her work is very obvious when watching her work and listening to the way she educates her students and pet owners! I started bringing my dogs to Kasey to help my elderly German Shepherd, Roy. Roy was a senior German Shepherd with hip dysplasia, spondylosis, arthritis, and degenerative joint disease. He was my service dog, and he was very active in sports his entire life. Thanks to Kasey, he was able to live his best life and do the things he loved, literally until the day he died. After seeing the amazing difference Kasey made for Roy, I began bringing my younger dogs, Athena and Grimm to see her. Athena is a Malinois x Dutch Shepherd, who actively competes in pretty much every sport except flyball and protection sports. Kasey has helped rehab her after an acute injury that could have been career ending, and she continues to help me maintain her in peak physical condition. Grimm is a "fluffy" Xoloitzcuintli, who participates in a handful of sports. Even without any obvious need for body work, he always feels so much better after a bodywork session with Kasey!

The more we learn about fascia and lymph, the more we realize how interconnected the body truly is. A restriction in the fascia around a dog’s hip may alter shoulder movement…
